Terrence Edwards, PsyD.

Dr. Edwards is a registered psychological associate in the field of Clinical Psychology. Dr. Edwards obtained his Masters in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix, followed by a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Edwards specialty is addressing behavioral and mental health issues faced by individuals across the lifespan, including but not limited to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Depression, Anxiety, Crisis Intervention, Emotional Dysregulation, Interpersonal or Social Problems, and Dysfunction, Behavioral Problems, and Intellectual, Cognitive, and Neurological conditions. Dr. Edwards has training in assessing, diagnosing, and treating emotional and behavioral disorders and assisting people in dealing with presenting issues ranging from short-term personal issues to severe, chronic conditions.

Dr. Edwards has worked with diverse populations in the California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation Mental Health Program, community in-patient and outpatient hospitals, and private practice. Dr. Edwards has provided services to individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan and populations from different ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Dr. Edwards treatments range from minor adjustment issues to psychological issues, such as Schizophrenia and other Psychoses. Dr. Edwards has training as a clinician in correctional settings, community mental health, and private practice settings. Dr. Edwards has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, inmates, and parolees. Dr. Edward’s areas of study include but are not limited to child psychology, behavioral psychology, cognitive psychology, geriatric psychology, health psychology, forensic psychology, occupational psychology, and neuropsychology.

Dr. Edwards goal is to collaborate with individuals, assisting in the achievement of growth, healing, change, resolving issues, reaching goals, and recovering from mental or physical health afflictions. Through identifying and diagnosing psychological, emotional, or behavioral health issues while developing and implementing treatment plans and a therapeutic process that assists the client with defining goals and a plan of action to achieve personal growth. Dr. Edwards uses an eclectic therapeutic approach, implementing integrative therapeutic modalities to address all aspects concerning the patient or client’s specific, unique needs
